Pre-Conference
Before embarking on your Douro River Valley cruise with CPE, enjoy a four day stay as you explore the enchanting island of Madeira. This tropical paradise offers stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and a relaxed atmosphere. Discover the capital city of Funchal, with its colourful streets, historic buildings, and beautiful botanical gardens. Visit Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, offering panoramic views. You’ll also have time to visit the village of Curral das Freiras, nestled in a deep valley surrounded by lush forests. Embark on a guided levada walk, exploring the network of irrigation channels that crisscross the island and experience the thrill of whale and dolphin watching off the coast of Madeira. Tour starts 17th April and finishes on 20th April for you to then transfer to Porto for the start of the conference.
