Day 1 - Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona’s seaside beauty, sprawling beaches, eclectic architecture, world-class tapas and Tempranillo are all reasons to fall in love with the city of Gaudí. Indeed, the treasures here are many and diverse, captivating travelers and experts alike. In fact, nine important sites in the city, seven designed by the famed architect himself, have earned the acclaim of UNESCO.
Day 2 & 3 - Ibiza, Spain
Flower power was once as prevalent on this “White Isle” as are today’s glitzy nightclubs, for Ibiza was a hub of hippie culture in the 1960s. But dig deeper and you’ll find a heritage more suitable for an island gem in the Mediterranean. Ibiza Town’s UNESCO-listed Dalt Vita chronicles much of this history, with monuments and architectural vestiges of nearly 1,000 years.
Day 4 - St-Tropez, France
A summer playground for celebrities, artists and writers vacationing here since the height of its popularity in the 1950s and 60s, St-Tropez’s famous beaches are still frequented by an international clientele who seek a lively night life and piece of the "St-Trop" allure. Magnificent yachts line the port, as owners vie to achieve titles the biggest, most luxurious or most enthusiastic crew.
Day 5 - Nice, France
The Cote d'Azur has been blessed with superb natural beauty as it lies sandwiched between the coastal mountains and the sea. The Maritime Alps tumble down to the ocean, preventing cold northern winds from reaching the sun-drenched slope that stretches some 60 miles westward from the border with fairy-tale Monaco. Majestic cities like Nice, Monte Carlo and St-Tropez host pleasure boats, yachts and all the other trappings of glamorous lifestyles.
Day 6 - Ajaccio, Corsica
Home to the Maison Bonaparte, the residence-turned-museum bearing the general’s name, this once fortified town founded by the Genoese in 1492 today boasts a Côte d’Azur flair along its trendy waterfront promenade. Nestled between sea and mountains, its magnificent UNESCO-designated Golfe de Porto is part of Corsica’s Regional National Park, renowned for its geologic and ecologic natural value.
Day 7 - Portofino, Italy
Located on the Italian Riviera, Portofino's brilliant bay is ringed by lush green hills serenely profiled against the sky.
Day 8 - Rome, Italy
Venture through Civitavecchia, noted for its fine seafood and beautiful monuments. Then, travel to the Eternal City of Rome, with more than 2,500 years of history and ancient landmarks that will leave you with memories for a lifetime.
